Cropping and splitting same document doesn't work

When I crop a document it works perfectly. If I later upload the cropped document to split it in half, I only get the middle of the page, i.e. half of each of the two parts instead of both of them as whole.

(I also have a similar problem if I want to split a document in two more than once: the second split just shows the middle of the page.
